Father’s Day Gift Ideas

Sunday, June 19, 2011. Do you recognize that date? You should … it’s Father’s Day. This year, I swear I’m getting a jump on my Father’s Day shopping and getting my gift early. Of course, I say that every year. This time, though, it will actually be true. :) I’ve been looking for gifts for my Dad and trying to pick out something he might want. Lo and behold, I actually found some stuff.

I always feel as if my father gets cheated on Father’s Day. We get him gifts and sometimes take him out to dinner (if we can coax him away from the TV). It seems to me that the entire country makes less of a fuss on Father’s Day and that Mother’s Day gets much more fanfare. He doesn’t seem to mind, but I do. I’m determined this year to make sure that he gets something he really likes, and I’m getting it early. Just in case I change my mind and need to get something else… Help me choose, would you? It’s so much harder to buy gifts for the men in your life.

So Clean Men’s Gift Basket looks good. It comes with the following, and I think it’s perfect.

Paul Mitchell Tree Bar Clean & Shaved, 5.3 oz
Paul Mitchell Lavender Mint Body Wash, 2.5 oz
Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Lavender Mint Shampoo, 10.14 oz
Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Lavender Mint Conditioner, 10.14 oz
American Crew Pomade, 3 oz 1
1 Shaving Brush
1 Paul Mitchell Bamboo Brush
1 Wood/Wicker Decorative Basket

I’m still wavering back and forth over what to get him. I might like this one better:
American Crew The Essential Travel Kit Classic. It’s everything you need for your shower and shave, and you can take it when you travel. My Dad does like to travel. It contains the following five 1.7oz size products and is airport safe.

American Crew Daily Moisturizing Shampoo
American Crew’s Daily Conditioner
Classic Body Wash
Precision Shave Gel
Post-Shave Cooling Lotion

Or how about just some cologne? Power by 50 cent smells great, and it comes in a 2 piece gift set, with both a 3.4 oz bottle of fragrance and a 3.4oz bottle of after shave. It’s a mix of citrus and woody tones, and he loves that. Maybe I won’t tell him that 50 cent is a rapper…

He’s even requested just aftershave before, and he goes for that old-school stuff. He’s a Brut or Old Spice man, all the way.

What are you getting your Dad on Father’s Day?
