Olay Total Effects Review

Olay Total Effects Moisturizer promises visibly younger looking skin. I’m aging (slowly, slowly I tell you!), so I decided to try it out and see what it could do for me.

Olay Total Effects promises 7 anti-aging therapies in one product. It claims to provide the total anti-aging power of a moisturizer fused with vitamins and anti-oxidants. It’s color and fragrance-free. I was happy to see the words ‘dermatologically tested and non-comedogenic’ (which means it won’t clog pores). It’s oil-free and fast-absorbing, important factors in any moisturizer that I choose.

It went on smooth, and felt non-greasy. I like that; I have skin that is oily in the t-zone, so I don’t wear oily moisturizer. I also have sensitive skin, prone to breakouts. I’m happy to report that this product left me absolutely breakout-free, as promised.

I used it for several weeks, and I did notice that the fine lines around my eyes seemed reduced. I’m not sure that it improved the tone of my skin or the firmness. It does seem a little firmer, but I’m not sure. How, exactly, does one measure that? If anyone knows, clue me in. It also seemed to fade some of the spots I have acquired from my sun worship. (Really, the spots are just because I’m freckly and I didn’t use a lot of sunblock when I was younger. Sun worship sounds better though, doesn’t it?)

I did really like Olay Total Effects, and I’m going to keep using it. I think it reduced my fine lines, and my face actually does feel a little tauter. It faded my sun spots, and I can’t wait to see what happens after I’ve been using it for a year or so. After I finished my trial run with Total Effects, I started using Olay Regenerist Anti Aging Micro-Sculpting Cream at night. I’ll let you know how that worked out for me, too.
