The 2011 Esquire Men’s Grooming Awards are out on yahoo shopping, and there are some surprising items on the list. It’s not always the most expensive items that give you the best product. I’m going to share some personal grooming items for men that I feel give you the most bang for your buck.

Axe – Esquire recommends some Axe products in their list. Whether you like the marketing or not, they’re great body washes, body sprays, and deodorants. Inexpensive and effective, and they smell absolutely awesome. My man says that he’ll never use another deodorant ever again, and that’s all the recommendation I need. It keeps him dry, and it smells great. I give them 4 stars for personal grooming products for men.

Suave – Don’t let the low price throw you off. There are some great products put out by Suave. One of the best for men is their Groom & Clean Greaseless Hair Control. It gives you a natural hold, so hair doesn’t look stiff or feel sticky. It’s also water soluble, so there’s never any build up. Suave products are also on the Esquire list.

Old Spice – It’s a classic scent, and it’s still one of the best. They make deodorants, body washes, and body sprays. I’m not the only one who thinks this – they’re also on the list. And have you checked out the new Old Spice advertising? It’s worth a watch here. (I giggle every time I see this.) Fabio and Terry Crews battling it out for spokesperson.

And how about American Crew? I just don’t think you can have a great list of grooming products for men without mentioning them. Their shampoos and conditioners leave hair silky, strong, and scented in a manly way. I like that.
