<p>This 3 day diet includes a sampling of three different diet plans (Low-Carb, Vegan, Raw Food) that if consistently followed have many long term health benefits.  My best advice is to try out the 3 day or 5 day plan for each of these diets and see what best fits you and your lifestyle.  If you find that you can handle these adjustments easily for the 3 day diet, then maybe extend to 7, 10 or 30 days.  You will be amazed at how different you feel after 30 days of eating clean!  Use organic fruits and vegetables, and if possible buy locally grown organics over store-bought produce, for wholesome nutrition.</p>
<p><strong>DRINK Lots and lots of Water! Good coffee alternatives are Decaf Green Tea and hot water with lemon.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Day 1</strong> -<strong> Eliminate processed foods, wheat, most dairy and red meat (Low-carb Diet)</strong></p>
<p>Breakfast &#8211; Greek Yogurt with cinnamon and 1/4 cup of granola</p>
<p>Snack &#8211; Apple with almond butter</p>
<p>Lunch &#8211; Mixed Greens Salad with Chicken or Tuna</p>
<p>Snack &#8211; 1/2 cup mixed nuts</p>
<p>Dinner &#8211; Haddock with olive oil and lemon and large side of vegetables (no carbs!)</p>
<p><strong>Day 2</strong> -<strong> Eliminate all meat and dairy (Vegan Diet)</strong></p>
<p>Breakfast &#8211; fruit or vegetable smoothie</p>
<p>Snack &#8211; Pear or Avocado</p>
<p>Lunch &#8211; Broccoli and Cauliflower salad with olive oil and apple cider vinegar</p>
<p>Snack &#8211; Brazil nuts OR vegetables and hummus</p>
<p>Dinner &#8211; Steamed or sauteed vegetables with extra virgin olive oil and lemon juice</p>
<p><strong>Day 3 &#8211; Eat ONLY RAW fruits and vegetables (Raw Food Diet)</strong></p>

<p>There are many benefits to eating in season and with Spring coming on strong, now is the best time to do so!  Below are a 5 reasons why it benefits your body as well as your pocket, to eat fruits and vegetables that are in season.</p>

<li>In season food contains more nutrients, more flavor and typically has less <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genetically_modified_food">genetic modification</a>.  When fruits and veggies are in season, they are at their best!</li>
<li>Eating local and in season reduces the distance your food has to travel, making it more <a href="http://www.sustainabletable.org/intro/whatis/">sustainable</a>.</li>
<li>Eating what is in season and available means you are more likely to eat a variety of foods throughout the year.
